Pumpkin Patch Festivities

We went to THREE different pumpkin patches this year!
(including the one from a previous post)
Oklahoma's October has been quite HOT this year, so we didn't get many fall leaves or things like that, but better to be too hot than too cold since we know the cold is coming right around the corner.

Easton got to dig and rake and "learn" about planting and harvesting

And he got to explore a couple teepees - the dwellings of 1/5th of his ancestors :)

He loves taking pictures, can't you tell? I realized recently that I'm never in any pictures with him, and being 7 months pregnant, I don't have much time to get pictures of when it was just the two of us

He loved the music teepee, for real though

^ My boys with OKC's signature skyscraper: The Devon Tower ^

^He was pretty mesmerized by this creepy mannequin thing...^

This "Pumpkinville" was at the botanical gardens, so we had to go see all the ducks, of course.
Once the geese started to hiss at him, though, we moved on to look at the fish.
(He can say both "duck" and "fish" with great enthusiasm)

The other place we went was more rustic,
with a petting zoo, hayride, and vroom vroom, a.k.a. tractor.

And of course, the pumpkins look like balls, so we had to throw a couple first thing.

Jake's 2nd Birthday

Our sweet, wild, huge puppy turned 2 last week, but we had to wait until this week to celebrate.
Easton LOVES balloons. He carried them around the house all day.
I even left one in his room while he napped and when I heard him talking when I woke up, I opened the door and he was standing up in his crib, smiling and holding on to the balloon.

Our sweet neighbors (and Jake and Easton's adopted Oklahoma family members) were once again our party guests. They not only brought a gift for Jake--which he enjoyed unwrapping and then tearing up--but also a gift for Easton. It even made the "vroom, vroom" noise-- his favorite!
Easton loved the toy, but did NOT like wearing the party hat.

^Looks like Roxy didn't love wearing the party hat either^

I made a pupcake for them to enjoy like last year. It was a different recipe than last year, but still a big hit. Jake even finished off Roxy's half since she didn't eat it fast enough.

^ Look at that form! Way to keep your eye on the ball, son!" :) ^

He's the cutest.

I was sad we didn't have as many cute and funny pictures as last year, but at least we got our first group shot. Here are our pictures from last year: Jake's 1st Birthday
