Touring the Devon Tower, OKC's lone sky scrapper
One Saturday morning we went to the Oklahoma Railway Museum and Easton loved it. Some train cars are set up for tours, some are to host parties, and some are where the actual museum is with displays and artifacts.
^^ This one was built in 1915 ^^
^^ Brigham now gets all the blue pacifiers and Easton gets the green ^^
4th of July. It was a full day of celebration!
We started the day with the parade again and enjoyed watching all the horses, wagons, and military people and vehicles. Easton wanted to see even more horses, so we parked on the side of the road and walked up to the horses at the fence in our neighborhood and this baby horse followed Easton EVERYWHERE. It was so cute. They imprinted ;)
Then we had our annual BBQ with friends, where I made my patriotic trifle as per tradition. And to finish off the day, we went to the free festival at OCU. Easton loved all the bounce houses, but specifically the Cars slide. While we were waiting in line, he walked over to one of the little carnival rides and just started dancing to the music with the ride operator. Once it got dark, we sat on the lawn and watched fireworks... then went home and watched more fireworks on TV with those specials in DC and stuff. Easton's liked fireworks ever since, and Brigham wasn't even scared.
In the evenings, we usually head to the middle school fields right by our house to throw balls to Jake and let Easton explore. During the summer, we usually were there when the sprinklers came on, so they liked cooling off and playing in them.
^^ Walking around Cabelas before bed. One of our family's favorite activities ^^
(who would've thought?!)
^^ My 3 boys at church ^^
^^ I LOVE how he lines up and organizes all his toys ^^
Free Chick-fil-a on cow day! I didn't get a family picture before Blaine and Easton had already taken off and ripped their cow headbands.
^ I only started liking Chick-fil-a (and craving their sandwiches) when I was pregnant with Brigham ^
I took the boys to a splash pad downtown at the botanical gardens with a cute little play area next to it. Afterwards we met Blaine for lunch at our local pizza place.
Abbie and Alivia came to visit us for about a week.
Alivia made Easton the MOST ADORABLE stuffed Bullseye and even stitched Easton's name into his hooves like "Andy" in Toy Story.
We went for walks, to the splash pad, a baseball game, the botanical garden, the pool, and we went to see Finding Dory at the Drive-In theatre.
Easton accidentally hit something in the car and it started to roll down the hill towards the snack bar
^^ haha nope, our poses are completely unstaged #twinners ^^
my 7 month old
(don't worry, he may not get monthly updates on the blog, but they're in his individual book)
My sweet little boys with their golden tickets
It was SO HOT.
A hot summer day in a metal, non air-conditioned train car. Easton had to shed his shirt
