New Years in Florida, part 2

For New Years Eve, we had a fabulous New Years party!!
Well, by fabulous I mean:
--Blaine was sick (which would later spread to pretty much the whole family)
--my brothers went to celebrate with their friends instead
--Easton got sick for the first time and pulled through quickly like a champ

We decorated the house, made a photo booth with props, and played lots of fun games.
With 30 minutes to go before midnight, we turned on the Time Square coverage and decorated plates.
It was a lot of fun and will be a fun tradition to continue and add to next year.

Alexis was #1 at the ping pong booty shaking game :)

Look at that concentration

More concentration...

New Years in Florida, part 1

The day after Christmas, we drove from Libby to Spokane, then flew from Spokane to Seattle (on this tiny little plane with propellers), and then flew from Seattle to Dallas, and then got delayed but eventually flew from Dallas to Tampa...

When we were boarding the tiny plane I texted my dad to let him know that we loved him and to make sure he'd take care of Jake... It was rickety and scary--reminded me of the plane they fly to Sitka, Alaska in on The Proposal

We finally made it to my family's house and everyone was dying for Easton to wake up

We got to go to Austin's basketball game

You may recognize Austin from instagram recently. Doesn't that picture look JUST like Easton?

We went to Tarpon Springs!
It's a Greek town near Tampa that has the highest percentage of Greek Americans than any other city in the United States. We have some Greek blood in us, as my Grandpa is from Greece and my maiden name is Angelos... Originally Angeletopulous, but thats a story for another day.

Tarpon Springs was founded by Greek sponge fisherman, and is therefore famous for their sponges and homemade olive oil and goats milk soaps.

There are a couple different kinds of sponges that are best for exfoliation, cleaning, etc.

She hates being called Miss Lexy... but whatevs. Alexis is a common Greek name.
