Philadelphia Trip, Part 1

Easton and I went to Philadelphia to visit my family. It was pretty different from Florida.
It was pretty much two separate trips--
tourist and family time, and then a big football weekend in Part 2.

Easton's very confident in the weight room ;)

Someone on the street laughed at Easton and Aaron and said, "Young bull straight chillin..."
Apparently that is a local term ;)
We haven't had to wear mittens in Oklahoma yet, so he just thought they were socks.

Sweet, stressed Aaron was wanting a "therapy baby,"
but Easton's too busy for that, so he had to settle with a playmate instead

^ Riding the subway... vroom vroom ^
One day we took a hop on-hop off double decker tour bus of the city.
It's a cool city because of its historical significance. It's the city of firsts--hospital, fire dept, etc.

Rocky steps, of course. It's actually an art museum, but we're only interested in the steps ;)
There was a long line of people waiting to take their pictures with Rocky's statue
There was a lot of colonial architecture and cute brick row houses with cobblestone streets

 Independence Hall,
where both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were debated and signed

It was a special room but I felt like the tour didn't allow people to grasp the significance and sacredness of what happened there because of how the tour guides operated.

 The Liberty Bell
Alivia and Easton on the lawn outside Independence Mall, where Gameday would be days later

 Macy's in downtown Philly

Another day we visited the Jersey Shore in Ocean City, New Jersey.
It wasn't the same as South Florida beaches, but it was nice to be back at a beach.
It's the off-season, though, so lots of stores on the boardwalk were closed.

 ^Water was cold, obviously^
He loved pointing out all the miniature golf courses and the statues of animals at each of them

Baby boy #2 deserves more air time. He's already 30 weeks along and in the 3rd trimester!!!
