- For Senior Night, I couldn't figure out what to buy my girls and I only had a little bit of time to throw it all together. The year before, the seniors got Pandora bracelets (because the coach's daughter was a senior), but I didn't want to spend a ton of money on something like that. So this is what I came up with: Grown Up Bags filled with everything you need to have on hand :)
- a "grown up" purse like mine - big and with jewels
- anti-bacterial gel from Bath & Body Works in a red holster on their bag (for Redskins)
- a bag of chocolate
- Victoria's Secret lotion
- 2 bottles of OPI Nail Polish (probably don't need to have this on you at all times, but definitely need to be polished at all times... specifically your toenails
- It was also the first and only game that we brought Jake to. All my students loved him. But it was a CHILLY night! And Jake was pretty scared of the band and loud crowd, so him and Blaine sat in the field behind the endzone. But he got used to everything and had fun running around and being around lots of people. He looks like a demon puppy though in these pictures because he didn't like the flash.
- We won and made it to the playoffs, but lost in the first round. We were ranked pretty low and played the top ranked team in our 4A. They were definitely the better team and blew us out of the water. And to finish it off, we went back to the bus and some of their students/fans had thrown bricks and broken 3 of our windows. Its not like we were a threat, so... don't know why that was necessary. There was a rumor going around about rival Indian tribes or something. Who knows?
- Before the game, we had a pep rally at school in which one of the teachers let the team shave their head.
- And lastly, Jake is growing. And we love him. And he enjoys a good nap
