2015

Our first Christmas at home alone, and our last holiday as a family of 3!

Fortunately we had pretty warm weather.

We took Easton and Jake to the lake and had such a nice time just exploring and throwing rocks... and one of us took a dip in the water ;)

I was a little less than a month away from delivery in both these pictures. 

Easton is above and Brigham is below.

Easton really loved all the Christmas decorations this year. Especially snowmen! 

My mom bought him this inflatable one but we kept it inside so we could enjoy it all day long.

This is the only nativity set we have. I'm holding out for the willow tree collection.

We drove around the ritzy neighborhood in OKC and looked at the mansions covered in lights

And we built a gingerbread house

And watched Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas about 100 times

And we took a horse drawn carriage ride downtown. 

Easton loved pointing out the horses, trucks, and all the other words he could say.

And we saw Santa, but didn't care too much. 

He liked the reindeer, and likes Santa in books but in real life he was kind of disappointed.

Just like he learned to say "gobble, gobble" AFTER Thanksgiving, 

he learned to say "Ho, Ho, Ho" AFTER Christmas.

Easton got really into Olaf this Christmas and, again, was excited to see him until we got to the front of the line. He could see the person's face through Olaf's mouth... not impressed.

We went to the Botanical Gardens on the free weekend too

Then Christmas Eve we went to Top Golf as our new family tradition since we were on our own. 

We had a good time, but Easton wasn't as obsessed as last time.

And I made us our Christmas Eve feast, 

which we enjoyed while watching some Christmas videos on lds.org

Then we read Christmas stories by the tree and sang Christmas songs

Someone kept swiping Santa's cookies

Then we closed the evening watching Frozen in bed together and still eating cookies. After Easton went to bed, Blaine and I stayed up making cinnamon rolls and watching our netflix show 

And of course, Christmas morning with lots of toys!

And just like after Thanksgiving, we had an after Christmas ice storm but didn't lose power!
