I cannot believe my sweet baby is already half a year old!
Easton continues to be the funniest and most beautiful thing in our life.
We were away from home for 3 long weeks over Christmas break, which is a pretty long time for him, so some of our good sleeping habits have slipped a little but we're working on it.
It was a big month of changes and development. He's such a big boy!
He is so observant. He is constantly looking around at new things, and when he's in a new place, he gets distracted and won't focus on you. He loves to look around, especially out the window when he rides in the car.
He also is always reaching out to touch things. He's gotten much better at his hand-eye coordination and can hold his toys and put them in his mouth. He can also take his pacifier out of his mouth and back in... sideways.
We've been practicing for a couple weeks and he can finally sit up all by himself! Still a little wobbly, but I can put him on the ground sitting up and he'll play with his toys... or put them in his mouth.
Once he does fall over, though, he can scoot himself around in a circle. I fear its always counter-clockwise, but he can do it.
He likes to test his vocal range a lot by making an "O" shape with his little mouth. I love it. Sometimes its deep and sometimes he tries to go so high that no sound comes out.
He really likes it when Blaine puts him up on the fridge (while still holding him, of course) and then helps him jump off the top. Jumping off isn't what makes him so happy though, he loves just being up high and seeing who's watching him. Its a sure smile every time.
Unfortunately, he seems very drawn to technology lately. He's always trying to type on my laptop or grab my phone. He truly is a child of the technological age ;)
And just a couple days ago we learned a new trick! I put a treat in Easton's hand and then he feeds it to Jake, when he doesn't try to put it in his own mouth. Its so cute to see how gentle and aware Jake is. Sometimes Easton won't let go of it when Jake's biting onto half of it, so Jake gently backs off and I knock it out of Easton's hand :)
